I’m here in the New Orleans: The Big Easy. Although, I’m not here just to take it easy and eat beignets and listen to jazz music. I’ll be participating in the Vacuum Assisted Closure (V.A.C. ®) Peer-to-Peer Wound Management Summit today and Saturday. The conference is hosted by Kinetic Concepts, Inc. – a technology development company that created V.A.C. Therapy, and that is dedicated to creating other innovative and easy wound healing therapies and medicines. I’ll be spending a few days among nationally known wound care clinicians and thought leaders in wound care to learn and discuss how to use V.A.C. Therapy to help a variety of other wound types and conditions heal more effectively. I’m excited to impart some knowledge of my own, based on my clinical experiences with patients and to gain new ideas and techniques to enhance my plastic surgery practice in Austin.
