Enhancing Skin Rejuvenation Outcomes with Exosomes

We are excited to talk about the topic of nanotechnology here at The Piazza Center in Austin, TX! Nanotechnology is the branch of technology that deals with dimensions and tolerances of less than 100 nanometers, especially the manipulation of individual atoms and molecules.

What Are Exosomes?

Exosomes, also called extracellular vesicles, use nanotechnology to exponentially improve your treatment outcomes.  Simply put, they are bi-layer lipid membraned acellular (non-DNA) messengers of cells that communicate information like, mRNA, miRNA, growth factors, cytokines, peptides, etc. to affect cell function and healing. For regenerative purposes, exosomes from stem cells (specifically mesanchymal or MSCs) can communicate healing “blueprints” to damaged cells in all organ systems.

What Are the Benefits of Using Exosomes for Aesthetic Medical Treatments?

This regenerative nanotechnology has 100x more growth factor than traditional PRP therapy and is designed to reduce your downtime by 50% while further enhancing the results of your plastic surgery or medical spa treatment at our Austin, TX plastic surgery practice.

Here are some of the key benefits to using exosomes to help improve results of surgical procedures and med spa skin treatments:

  • Treatment is non-surgical, non-invasive, and pain-free
  • No downtime required
  • Exosomes require no blood draw, and no needles are needed
  • Exosomes promote non-inflammatory healing
  • Exosomes include 100x more growth factors than PRP
  • Safe for all skin types and pigments
  • Achieve consistent, proven results
  • Quick and easy treatment with excellent results
  • 1 treatment is equivalent to 4-6 PRP treatments for the skin or scalp

What Can Be Treated with Exosomes?

At The Piazza Center, we work to achieve the best possible outcomes from surgical and nonsurgical treatments. We use exosomes to improve the results of the following medical spa skin treatments:

How Much Does a Treatment with Exosomes in Austin Cost?

Do you only apply the exosomes topically, or are you able to inject them as well? Also, what concentration of exosomes work best for your various skin treatments?

    • pzz-admin says:

      Hi Matt!
Thank you so much for your response. In our experience, we apply exosomes topically when using these during skin resurfacing treatments. When we focus on lower eyelid skin restoration, we perform a combination of injection techniques and topical application to transform the skin quality. The concentration is unique to each patient experience and is determined during our Visia Skin Consultation process. – Dr. Rocco Piazza

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, exosomes are not a good option for treating melasma. However, here at The Piazza Center, we offer the MOXI laser, which is designed to treat melasma effectively. Please contact the practice at (512) 337-2888 to discuss your options for treating melasma.

    i have two questions :
-where are your exosomes coming from? like human adipose tissu for example
    – the price mentionned (300 or 350$) for use is just for one exosome application after one treatment?

    • pzz-admin says:

Thank you for your interest in The Piazza Center and topical exosomes. Unfortunately, we were just informed that we can no longer get the topical exosomes for post-treatment application. We do have great growth factors by Neocutis that use human growth factors for everyday use and post-procedure healing. We would love to invite you in to discuss treatment options and growth factor options with one of our expert providers. Please contact us at (512) 337-2888 to schedule an appointment.

Thank you so much for your question. Exovex is derived from human placental tissue. We are currently using this as a tool to enhance outcomes with other treatments such as microneedling, laser resurfacing, and hair restoration. Most commonly the price ranges from $350 to $1500 and largely depends on the quantity of exosomes utilized. – Rocco C. Piazza, MD, FACS
