Case Details
This 36-year-old mother of four came to see Dr. Piazza to discuss a breast augmentation procedure. She scheduled a consultation with Dr. Piazza to learn about breast implants and how the procedure was performed. Like many woman, she felt her breasts changed significantly and looked “deflated” after having her children. She desired to enhance the shape and size of her breasts but most of all still maintain a natural appearance and create more proportion with her upper and lower body. During her one on one consultation with Dr. Piazza, they were able to discuss the procedure more in depth and select implants that would deliver the results she had in mind. The examination was followed by more discussion in Dr. Piazza’s consultation room. She was also able to look at and feel a variety of different implants, and to compare different sizes. Dr. Piazza explained the differences between saline, silicone, high profile, textured implants, and smooth implants. After about an hour in consultation Dr. Piazza and the patient decided a smooth round gel would be the best implant to deliver the result she was looking for. This patient healed very well, and she was very happy with the improvement in her shape and fullness. This was an outpatient procedure performed at Stonegate Surgery Center, a fully accredited surgical facility here in Austin.
