This 45-year-old patient came to us for a scar revision excision after being unhappy with how his previous tummy tuck scars had healed. Specifically, he was concerned with the appearance of the scars on the outer (lateral) portions of his abdomen. To improve the overall look, Dr. Piazza excised the old scar tissue on both the right and left sides of the original incision—removing the poorly healed areas and creating a cleaner, more refined result. This type of revision helps improve scar quality and patient confidence in their surgical outcome.
