Case Details
Frequently, patients come to see Dr. Piazza for revision of a previous breast augmentation. This 41-year-old female came to Dr. Piazza with concerns about the appearance of her breasts. She had a previous augmentation with saline implants about 20 years prior. She was most unhappy with the asymmetry and felt her breasts were too wide and sat “too low”. She desired more symmetric, higher breasts that looked better in her bathing suits. She scheduled a consultation and met with Dr. Piazza at his Austin plastic surgery office. Dr. Piazza spent about an hour with her taking the time to discuss all the options associated with revision aesthetic breast surgery. Based on her expectations, he planned to remove her current breast implants using an inframammary fold incision and then replace them with silicone gel breast implants. Dr. Piazza also placed strattice, an internal support to help rebuild her internal pocket to correct the current displacement of her breasts and provide her with better symmetry. Dr. Piazza performed her procedure at Stonegate Surgery Center, a fully accredited surgical facility here in Austin.
