This 62-year-old female came to see Dr. Piazza at his Austin plastic surgery practice for a ruptured right silicone gel breast implant. She had breast implants placed over 30 years ago. Her routine yearly mammogram suggested a rupture of the right silicone gel breast implant. She also wanted larger and fuller breasts. She was very clear that she did not want any additional scars placed on her breasts. Dr. Piazza spent an hour with her taking the time to discuss all the options associated with revision aesthetic breast surgery. Based on her expectations, he planned to remove her current breast implants using her existing inframammary fold incision and then replace them with larger silicone gel breast implants. By placing larger implants, it would simulate a small breast lift. Her revision breast augmentation surgery in Austin was performed at Seton Southwest Healthcare Center. She also underwent facial rejuvenation by combining lower eyelid surgery at the same time. She went home to recover a few hours after surgery.
