Case Details
This 35-year-old female came to see Dr. Piazza for a consultation regarding a tummy tuck procedure at his Austin plastic surgery practice. After 3 pregnancies, she felt that her tummy had a very stretched out appearance. She felt that she had a lot of excess skin and stretched out appearance to her abdomen causing her to look bloated in appearance. She was very and works out on a daily basis. She emphasized that no matter how hard she works out—she cannot improve the appearance of her abdomen. Dr. Piazza spent an hour with her taking the time to discuss body contouring procedures including a tummy tuck. He reassured her that what she is experiencing is normal and that even after pregnancy, there can be areas of the body like the tummy that are resistant to diet and exercise. Dr. Piazza and his registered nurse, Hayley, explained the importance of diet, exercise, and leading a healthy lifestyle in maintaining excellent results and good health after surgery. She was back to performing normal daily activities by 2 weeks and is excited about the improved contour of her abdomen. She is now ready to wear a bikini this summer!
