This 32-year-old female who lives near Austin, Texas came to Dr. Piazza at his office location at Seton Southwest to discuss breast reduction surgery. She felt that the weight and size of her breasts contributed to neck, shoulder and upper back discomfort. She had difficulty fitting into clothing because of the size of her breast and really wanted to feel good in a bridesmaids dress for her friends upcoming wedding. He also reduced the size of her areolas and centered her nipples and areolas over her breast mound. Several sutures were placed inside the breast to move the actual breast tissue upward on her chest wall. After surgery, she recovered well and was back to performing normal daily activities in 7-10 days. She is happy with the size and shape of her breasts and feels that her breasts fit her body.
