This 69-year-old woman was diagnosed with left breast cancer. She came to see Dr. Piazza to learn about breast reconstruction options in Austin, TX. She desired to stay a similar breast volume with reconstruction and wanted the staged tissue expander / implant reconstruction technique known as the bioengineered breast reconstruction technique. It took two separate surgeries to achieve the result you see pictured here. This includes her bilateral mastectomy, Dr. Piazza also used various skills including the use of round silicone breast implants, fat grafting and ADM to create a beautiful and natural appearance to her breasts. This was not a nipple sparring reconstruction and the patient decided to undergo tattooing of her areolas.
