Prepectoral Breast Reconstruction Before & After Pictures of Patient 116Back
This is a 37-year-old female who was diagnosed with breast cancer of the right breast. When she was diagnosed she came to see Dr. Piazza to learn about breast reconstruction options in Austin. She had a breast augmentation in the past and desired to have a similar shape and size when she completed breast cancer treatment and reconstruction. She elected to undergo bilateral mastectomies. Due to the nature of her breast cancer, she required treatment with both chemotherapy and left breast radiation. She is seen here 3 months after completion of her breast reconstruction after undergoing nipple sparing mastectomies and using multiple reconstruction techniques to create a bioengineered left breast including a silicone implant, ADM, and autologous fat transfer. She underwent placement of a Latissimus Dorsi Flap, silicone implant and ADM to complete her right breast reconstruction. She is happy with the size and shape of her breasts and is cancer free! See Dr. Piazza’s Blog about the “Bioengineered” breast reconstruction technique.
